It will be less than a month before we are in the field hunting brown bear and I think we have an enthusiastic bunch of hunters ready to roll this fall. The economy has been incredibly tough on the hunting industry, and we have offered some last minute hunts at prices that reminded me of the mid-1990′s but I simply thank God for enough work to keep us going. Our openings for next spring and fall will likely be filled before December and next year looks to be on schedule for big transitions. The application process for the guide concession program is scheduled and I have been around long enough that I will qualify to apply for my “Master Guide” status at year’s end. Now I am feeling really old!

Final 2010 Hunt Openings

It is now or not likely at all for those trying to squeeze in a hunt with us this Fall. We have been offering some great deals, and it is down to the wire now and it looks like we are going to have everything booked. Possibility of one more brown bear hunt in early August, so contacts us now if you are interested.

Spring Bear getting close!

Getting ready to head up for a 2 on 1 spring brown bear hunt and conditions are looking pretty good thus far. Still have a couple of slots left open for early August brown bear or sheep, or September 5th -14th sheep/grizzly.

Spring Brown Bear Special

We are currently offering 2 slots for Spring 2010 brown bear in GMU 16 B for $10,500. This hunt is suited for the tougher physical hunter and this is a spot and stalk type hunt with bears routinely spotted at distances of more than a mile, so we do stress the need of our hunters to be in great shape for this hunt.

Alaska Range Sheep

While the Alaska Range may never get the reputation that the Chugach Mountains once had, we don’t think this was a bad looking ram at all.

Doyle Worbington of Colorado took this great 39″ ram after we had failed to take it on an earlier stalk. It was an incredible stalk and basically a 500 yard shot after the landscape offered us no other alternatives.

Okay, you know there is a catch, and I may sound like a used car salesman by now, but the Obama plan still isn’t working for us! Updates from Home – New Hunt Offerings

Back from the field this past week and as usual, Alaska is never dull! Good hunts, tough hunts, and plenty of curves, but you will have to wait a few days for photos. The highlight of this year will certaily be Doyle Worbington’s 39″ ram and hopefully we will have some pics and video for you in the next couple of weeks. I am going to be updating the entire site, so please be patient if things change before your very eyes. Hopefully it will be worth the effort.

We are looking to book our Spring hunters for brown bear and we are going to offer some nice deals to those who are interested in booking now, plus we are looking at doing August 10 brown bear on the salmon for those who want the opportunity to see hunt the great bears while they are gather on the streams, so give us a call if you are ready to book for 2010. Into the Bush

Headed into the field by the end of this week (the Lord willing and an the creeks don’t rise), and we expect to be hunting brown bear and caribou by September 1st. Sheep hunting will be a little later, but we will update everyone as I can from the sat phone and Darlene. Expect to get a newsletter out after we get back with updates and photos as well.
